Park Guide – Alton Towers

Welcome to the Alton Towers park guide – founded in 1860 as a country estate, Alton Towers has been a significant landmark on the Staffordshire landscape now for over 100 years! Although it did not become a theme park until the 1980’s.

The theme park is divided into themed areas, starting with Towers Street, which offers a spectacular view of the estate as you begin your adventure into the main park. Cbeebies Land and Cloud Cuckoo Land offer a nice variety of rides for younger children, while Katanga Canyon and Mutiny Bay offer a mixture of more family attractions, including the new Wickerman roller coaster. For the braver ones, X Sector, Dark Forest and Forbidden Valley offer a nice variety of thrill rides, including the world famous “Nemesis”

The resort offers 4 fantastically themed hotels suitable for all budgets as well as a superb water park, and mini golf. The resort does also offer a high ropes course by the name of Treetop Quest however that has remained closed for the 2018 season.
